Which Type of Battery Should You Choose?
Heavy-Duty Batteries (HD)
HD batteries are used across all CAT® machines and generators. On rough terrain, they must withstand extreme vibration. These batteries perform 3 to 5 times better than standard batteries in a 100-hour vibration resistance test.
Caterpillar invests significant time and resources to provide the best possible battery. The result is a product that lasts up to three times longer than competing batteries.
3–5X BETTER PERFORMANCE THAN STANDARD BATTERIES IN 100-HOUR VIBRATION TESTS. CAT® HD batteries resist vibration without mechanical damage, capacity loss, electrolyte loss, or leakage.
PROVEN PERFORMANCE. CAT® batteries undergo a 72-hour deep discharge/charge test and a 30-day full cycle test to ensure they meet our high standards.
UNMATCHED RELIABILITY. CAT® batteries are also tested for lifecycle endurance and cold-soak performance, simulating extreme conditions to ensure reliable engine starting.
General Duty Batteries (GD)
