The Smallest and Most Portable Drilling Rig in its Class
The MD6200 CAT® drilling rig has the narrowest shipping width in its class. It can be transported on the road with the mast raised, so it can be driven onto a truck to move to another site. In addition, its compact working envelope allows it to quickly position itself, reducing the time spent accessing the drilling site and moving between holes. Its oversized chassis, similar to that of the Cat 336 hydraulic excavator, provides the best towing effort in its class, making it suitable for the most challenging conditions on your site. Designed to drill holes from 127 to 200 mm (5.0 to 7.87 in) in diameter, the MD6200 drilling rig is optimized for single or multiple pass drilling, both in rotary drilling and down-the-hole hammer mode.

Technology and Automation
Drill Assist functionality, incorporating automatic leveling, automatic jack recall, automatic mast lifting and lowering, and automatic drilling. Monitoring of machine health and performance allows for productivity optimization. Drilling depth counter reduces excessive or insufficient drilling. Cat MineStar™ Terrain for drilling data is integrated into existing cabin monitors (requires purchase of a Terrain license).
Positive and negative angle drilling
30-degree to -15-degree angle drill (in 5-degree increments) Negative angle drilling (up to -15 degrees from vertical) allows you to carry out specialized projects such as ramp and access construction, well drilling, and limited drilling before fracturing. Positive angle drilling (30 degrees from vertical) for production drilling.
