Performance and Productivity
The Cat C7 engine complies with EPA Tier 3 (United States)/Stage IIIA (European Union) emission standards, or equivalent Tier 2/Stage II standards, depending on the country's emission regulations. The Powershift transmission with intermediate shaft is designed to optimize power on the ground.
Power and Efficiency
The electronic throttle control improves productivity by combining the power and torque best suited to the application. The dynamic adjustable blades, optimal curvature of the shield, and significant clearance between the blade and circle allow materials to roll more freely along the blade, thereby increasing efficiency. The variable speed hydraulic fan automatically adjusts the speed based on cooling needs, optimizing ground power and improving energy efficiency. The engine idle stop function is available to shut off the engine after a given period of time to save fuel and reduce pollutant emissions.
Ease of use
The Proportional Priority Pressure Compensating (PPPC) provides a load sensing hydraulic circuit with increased control and improved performance and efficiency. The optional Autoshift transmission enhances operation and optimizes productivity by automatically shifting the transmission at optimal speed change points. The toggle and control switches are easily accessible. The proven classic controls offer a control grid that complies with industry standards and sensitivity for precise cutting blade movement.
Reduced Maintenance Time
The long-lasting nylon composite wear inserts optimize the torque of the circle and the component's lifespan. The wear strips of the sacrificial brass sliding rails, located between the blade mounting group and the shield, can be easily adjusted and replaced. Access to the ground-level maintenance area on the left side speeds up maintenance and ensures that periodic maintenance is carried out on time.

Boosted Productivity by Technologies
The optional AccuGrade™ Cat system uses positioning and guidance technologies, machine sensors, and automatic blade control for faster, simpler, and more efficient leveling operations. The Product Link™ Cat option facilitates equipment management with remote monitoring functions. The AccuGrade Attachment Ready Option (ARO) can be ordered and installed at the factory or by the dealer, speeding up and simplifying the installation of the AccuGrade leveling control system.
Integrated Security Features
The brakes located on each tandem wheel offer the largest braking surface on the market, in order to provide reliable braking power. The standard circle drive safety clutch protects the drawbar, circle, and shield from impact loads when the blade encounters a stationary object. The ground-level engine shutdown allows anyone nearby to shut down the machine in case of an emergency. Integrated locking check valves. The clear view of the front end of the shield and tandem tires improves productivity and safety. Blade lift accumulators help reduce impact loads on the shield by allowing vertical movement of the blade.
