Better Control and Increased Comfort

18-foot shield and a straight cutting blade of 10 in x 1 3/8 in, which allows the driver to increase coverage by 12.5% compared to a 16-foot shield. The driver can use the blade at a more aggressive angle while still keeping the windrow away from the tires to preserve their lifespan. The sharper angle of the blade reduces the loads imposed on the machine and maintains a faster ground speed for superior performance. Variable Horsepower (VHP) provides the ideal power in all gears to efficiently perform different grader applications while protecting the structure and components of the powertrain. Thanks to the optimal combination of weight and balance, the 18 provides improved traction and the ability to maintain ground speed, especially when carrying a heavy load. The emission reduction technology operates seamlessly and automatically; it does not require any intervention from the driver. The rear ripper/scarifier quickly penetrates through hard materials for easier movement with the shield. The standard ripper is equipped with three teeth, with the possibility of adding four more for greater versatility. The touch/color information display allows the driver to monitor machine performance and easily adjust settings based on the current task. Provides maintenance information for initial troubleshooting. Product Link™ Elite Cat is deeply integrated into the machine to streamline equipment management. Easy access to information (machine location, service hours, fuel consumption, downtime, incident codes) in real time via the VisionLink® online user interface can help efficiently manage fleets and reduce operating costs.
Increased Productivity

Model 18 reduces downtime and operating costs through easier maintenance, fuel savings, and reduced maintenance. The main components are modular in design, allowing most of them to be removed and reinstalled without modifying other components. The Eco mode improves fuel consumption by reducing the engine speed at high idle while maintaining the machine's power level. The Eco mode regulates the high idle speed (capped at 1,900 rpm in working gears) to ensure that the engine operates as efficiently as possible. It allows for significant fuel savings, especially in operations that are typically performed with low or moderate loads. The offset section from the center of the chassis is made of extra-strong steel casting, designed to efficiently distribute stress and improve the lifespan of this heavily loaded area. The rear chassis structure is elongated to facilitate access for maintenance of parts under the engine cover, and also improve the machine's balance. The steering cylinder of the front axle is designed to extend its lifespan, and the hydraulic hoses are routed to enhance reliability. The front axle guard provides better protection for the front axle against stones or other debris that could damage the axle or its components. The transmission guard provides steel protection against debris on the ground. The modular cooling block simplifies the removal and installation of cooling circuit components, reducing maintenance time. The engine cover doors provide easy and complete access to the engine without being hindered by the frame. Maintenance intervals are extended, reducing the number of interventions and downtime. The Ok-to-Start system and the critical level monitoring system prevent major components from being damaged when liquid levels are low. All data is available through the information display in the cabin, and diagnostic codes are logged.
