High Performance With Less Fuel
The hydraulic excavator uses up to 20% less fuel than the 320D2 GC in similar applications. Adapt the hydraulic excavator to the task with power modes; the Smart mode automatically adjusts engine and hydraulic power to excavation conditions. The advanced hydraulic circuit provides the optimal balance of power and efficiency while giving you the necessary control to meet precise excavation needs. The priority valve directs hydraulic pressure and flow where you want it for accelerated light to moderate load cycle times. Compliant with emissions standards equivalent to US EPA Tier 3, European Stage IIIA, Chinese Stage III emissions standards for non-road engines, and Brazilian MAR-1 standards. Add an auxiliary hydraulic circuit to be more productive with a wide range of Cat equipment. Product Link™ is provided as standard so you can remotely monitor machine status, location, operating hours, and fuel consumption on demand via the VisionLink® online interface. Don't let temperature be a barrier to work. The hydraulic excavator is equipped with a high ambient temperature feature of 52 °C (125 °F) and a cold start feature of -32 °C (-25 °F).
Cost Maintenance Reduction
Expect up to a 20% economy on maintenance costs compared to the 320D2 model (economy calculated over 12,000 operating hours). Perform all daily maintenance operations at ground level. Optimize productivity with proactive maintenance reminders. The new Integrated Vehicle Health Management system alerts the driver, providing step-by-step maintenance instructions and necessary parts to avoid any unnecessary downtime. Quickly and safely check the engine oil level with the new ground-level bayonet oil gauge; perform oil filling and checking at the top of the machine with a strategically placed second bayonet gauge. Monitor the filter lifespan and maintenance intervals of your hydraulic excavator through the cabin monitor. No maintenance is required on the Cat clean emissions module. Using genuine Cat oils and filters and performing S∙O∙S type monitoring allows for doubling the current maintenance interval up to 1,000 hours and provides greater productive time for completing the job. The new hydraulic oil filter offers better filtration performance, as well as check valves to keep the oil perfectly clean when the filter is replaced. Additionally, its lifespan is extended and its replacement interval is 3,000 hours (50% longer than previous filter designs). The new high-performance electric cooling fans only operate when necessary and reverse their direction to ensure the radiators remain debris-free. S·O·S ports simplify maintenance and allow for easy and quick sampling of fluids for analysis purposes.
Reliability You Can Count On
Work up to 3,000 m (9,840 ft) above sea level without derating. The standard high ambient temperature capability is 52 °C (125 °F) with a cold start capability at -32 °C (-25 °F). The auto preheating accelerates the hydraulic oil reheating in cold weather and helps extend the lifespan of components. Three levels of fuel filtration protect the engine from dirty diesel fuel. The grease retained between the axes and chain bushings reduces noise and prevents debris from entering to extend the lifespan of the undercarriage. The central chain guard helps keep the hydraulic excavator chain aligned during movement and work on slopes. The inclined carrier frame prevents mud and debris buildup, reducing the risk of chain damage.
Returning Home, Safe and Sound, Every Day
Access 100% of daily ground-level maintenance points (there is no need for you to climb on the hydraulic shovel). Secure your hydraulic shovel with the user ID. Use your PIN code on the monitor to activate the start function via a push button. The standard ROPS (Rollover Protective Structure) cabin complies with ISO 12117-2:2008. Benefit from great visibility on the trench, in every orientation, and behind you with smaller cabin pillars and larger windows. A rear vision camera is included as standard and a right side vision camera is available as an option. The new straight maintenance platform allows easy, safe, and quick access to the upper maintenance platform; the steps of the maintenance platform use a non-slip perforated plate to prevent any risk of slipping. The handrails comply with ISO 2867:2011. The lower chassis complies with ISO 15818:2017 for lifting and securing operations. Improve safety on the construction site. Add an orientation alarm to warn colleagues when transitioning from the trench to the stockpile and vice versa. Simplify and secure maintenance work with optional inspection lighting. Simply activating a switch allows you to illuminate the engine, pump, battery, and radiator compartments for better visibility.
