The C7.1 engine with dual turbocharger delivers reliable power for pumps for maximum production. The electrohydraulic circuit responds quickly and efficiently to tasks to be performed. Reinforced structures ensure long lifespan in challenging environments. Work up to 4,500 m (14,764 ft) above sea level. The standard high ambient temperature capacity is 52°C (125°F) with a cold start capacity of -18°C (0°F). Automatic preheating of hydraulic oil accelerates cold weather startup and helps extend component lifespan. Two levels of filtration protect the engine from low-quality diesel fuel. Grease retained between the axes and chain bushings reduces noise and prevents debris from entering to extend the lifespan of the undercarriage.

The new Integrated Vehicle Health Management system alerts the driver, providing step-by-step maintenance instructions and necessary parts to avoid any unnecessary downtime. Expect lower maintenance costs with 1,000-hour engine oil change intervals. Replace all fuel filters at a synchronized 1,000-hour interval. The filters are grouped and located on the right side of the machine for easy maintenance. Check the hydraulic circuit oil and easily drain water from the fuel circuit and fuel tank from ground level. The air intake filter with pre-filter has a high dust retention capacity. The hydraulic oil filter provides superior filtration; check valves allow the oil to remain perfectly clean when the filter is replaced. The high-efficiency hydraulic fan has an optional automatic reverse function to keep the radiators free of debris, eliminating the need for driver intervention. The S∙O∙SSM ports are located at ground level, simplifying maintenance and allowing for quick and easy fluid sampling for analysis purposes.
