Proven CAT® Engine
Equipped with a proven and reliable CAT® engine. There are two rated power options for the 3054C Cat engine equivalent to Tier 2: 68.5 kW and 74.5 kW. For those requiring the C4.4 engine equivalent to Tier 3, there are two rated power options: 70 kW and 74.5 kW. All options offer superior performance with exceptional energy efficiency.
Superior Comfort Level for the Driver
The pilot shovel controls are optional on your model 428. These controls, mounted on fully adjustable housings, provide the driver with more precise controls, while improving ergonomics and comfort.
Superior Lifting Performances
The option of a larger boom cylinder offers superior lifting performance at the rear of the machine428.
Transmission Powershift
The 4-speed Powershift transmission improves driver comfort through the use of the Power Shuttle lever to change gears. There is no floor-mounted gear lever, which enhances the already spacious working environment.
Hydraulic Excavator Type Arrow
The hydraulic shovel type arrow is iconic for the Cat backhoe loader. It provides the driver with greater excavation depth and reach when working around obstacles, thereby reducing the need to reposition the machine.

Product Link™ is standard on the Cat backhoe loader in accordance with local restrictions. Cat Product Link provides data such as machine location, maintenance meter hours (SMU), etc.
