The Productivity
The 793F Dump Truck is 6% faster than its competitors and offers optimal speed on steep slopes, unstable ground, and tracks with high rolling resistance. The 16-cylinder, four-stroke C175-16 diesel engine uses long and powerful engine times for optimal efficiency. The 20% increase in net torque ensures unmatched traction force during accelerations. The torque reserve adapts to gear shift points to guarantee maximum efficiency and fast cycle times. The advantage of a empty weight of at least 9 tonnes (10 US tons) compared to electric drive competitors in its size category ensures that you get all the expected payload. And by choosing the high-performance (HP) dump body option, you can further reduce the weight by 2.0 to 5.0 tonnes (2.2 to 5.5 US tons). The six-speed Cat transmission with the latest APECS controls is coupled with the C175-16 engine to deliver optimal power over a wide range of operating speeds. The lock-up torque converter engages at approximately 8 km/h (5 mph), providing unmatched stall torque in its size category. Cat reducers work as a system with the upper undercarriage to provide maximum ground power.
Security
Access and descent from the machine are improved thanks to non-slip surfaces, handrails, and a standard diagonal ladder of 600 mm (24 m) at the front of the machine. A motorized access ladder is available as an option. Resiliently mounted on the main chassis to limit vibrations and noise, the one-piece ROPS structure is designed as an extension of the chassis and exceeds SAE requirements. A shutdown box mounted on the front bumper includes an engine shutdown switch, a battery cutoff, a starter lockout, and a transmission lockout. The Cat MineStar™ Detect object detection system, equipped as standard, combines radar and camera systems to warn drivers of immediate dangers, while the optional Detect driver safety system alerts the driver if signs of fatigue or distraction are detected. The 793F Dump Truck is equipped with oil-cooled brakes on all four wheels and an automatic retarder control to improve machine maneuverability and control, allowing the driver to work quickly and confidently. With braking power applied to all four wheels, the entire weight of the dump truck can be used for traction, improving control, giving the driver more confidence, and allowing for higher speeds on soft terrains.
Driver Comfort
Thanks to numerous cabin options, the 793F Dump Truck can be equipped with the desired features for your activity. All options offer an ergonomic layout, excellent panoramic visibility, as well as controls, levers, and switches positioned for easy use. The cabin includes dozens of features designed to improve comfort, such as automatic air conditioning and soundproofing. The next-generation seat includes a height adjustment device, an adjustable shoulder support to prevent the seatbelt from rubbing against the driver's neck, as well as back, side, and lumbar supports to enhance stability.
Easy Maintenance
The time spent on regular maintenance procedures is reduced thanks to features such as extended maintenance intervals; ground-level maintenance and inspection points; easy access to major components; the standard equipped automatic lubrication system; waterproof electrical connectors; oil level gauges and front wheel level indicator, as well as maintenance platforms located on the engine and transmission. A 100% air-free electric start option eliminates maintenance of the machine's air system and improves productive time. The improved Cat engine oil filtering system extends the engine's lifespan, eliminates cartridge filter replacements, and allows for longer oil change intervals. The 793F Haul Truck can be equipped with an optional quick-fill service center that includes a Live S•O•S℠ service center and brake wear indicators. New and upgraded machines offer extended filter replacement and oil change intervals for most compartments.
Durability And Long Lifespan
The 793F has been improved with longer-lasting components, extended maintenance intervals, and easier maintenance to achieve consistently higher mechanical availability of over 90%. The 793F is based on our most durable 231-ton (255-ton US) chassis ever built, supported by unprecedented levels of virtual and physical validation. A mild steel chassis offers flexibility, durability, and impact resistance. Castings are used in high-stress areas, and the 4-post ROPS cab provides greater strength. Component life is improved through the standard-equipped rear axle continuous filtration feature. Cleaner oil allows for longer lubrication, contributing to extended component life. The chassis, powertrain, engine, and components are designed to be refurbished for multiple lives of like-new performance at a fraction of the new price.
Durability
The 793F is designed to use less fuel, which reduces engine emissions. Additionally, no fuel is consumed during deceleration. The optional Tier4Final-compliant engine reduces NOx and particle emissions. Features such as continuous rear axle filtration, long-lasting filters, and extended maintenance intervals reduce the amount of waste released into the environment. The Cat common rail fuel system ensures optimal fuel supply, reducing both fuel consumption and emissions. The 793F engine is compatible with diesel fuel blended with low-carbon intensity fuels such as biofuels and renewable fuels. By refurbishing machines and components, Cat Rebuild and Cat Reman programs preserve raw materials, save energy, and reduce emissions.
Technological Solutions
MineStar Fleet is a fleet monitoring system that allows for the measurement, management, and optimization of all transportation operations. MineStar Command for transportation, a proven and tested autonomous transportation solution that increases productivity by up to 30%, is a fully integrated factory offering. Machine integrity solutions such as Equipment Care Advisor, Health Equipment Insights, and Health Office enable a proactive approach to maintenance. The MineStar Detect object detection system is available as standard on the 793F Haul Truck. Additional safety solutions include seat belt monitoring and in-cabin systems that intervene when driver fatigue or distraction is detected.
