Security
Better visibility thanks to the wide field of vision in the cabin. 600 mm (24 in) wide steps, a flat platform, kick plates, and motorized step (optional) ensure safe ascent and descent. Features aimed at enhancing confidence, such as an anti-tip system, traction controls, a parking brake alarm when the driver leaves the cabin, and an automatic retarder. Best-in-class braking, with oil-immersed disc brakes on all four wheels with mixed and dynamic mechanical maneuvering brakes, plus an automatic retarder control that facilitates and improves deceleration. Ground-level locking system, engine and propulsion locking system (in the ECM cabinet), VIMS monitoring center, and energy dissipation function when stopping.

Next-generation seat, equipped with a height adjustment device, adjustable shoulder support to prevent rubbing of the seat belt, as well as back, side, and lumbar supports to increase stability.
Versatility
Proven in the field and in service worldwide - on four continents and in nine countries. Ideal for a variety of applications and ores: soft rock, hard rock, deep pit and flat transport; low altitude, high altitude, high ambient temperatures and cold weather. Power performance optimization allows the 794 to operate in all areas of the mine: from deep pits to downhill routes; from flat and smooth roads to areas with high rolling resistance, all with the same engine. Greater power is available to enhance productivity in deeper pits, and easy adjustment to lower power allows the 794 to better align with mixed fleets and maintain fuel costs at a lower level.
Ease of maintenance
Open engine access door and platforms for engine, alternator, and converter maintenance, as well as filters and maintenance points at ground level. Component layout with reduced hydraulic circuit, all hydraulic pipes on one side and electrical wiring on the other side. Separate traction motors, brakes, and reducers. Modular component design for easy installation and removal. AC grid fan motor for longer lifespan and reduced maintenance, plus pressurized and filtered AC drive that requires less maintenance.
Training Ca and powertrain group
Reduced operating costs thanks to the integrated engine and powertrain, designed, validated, and manufactured 100% by Caterpillar. Radial deceleration grid with AC electric motor that requires no regular engine maintenance and is quieter and lighter than enclosed grids. AC dynamic drive deceleration provides continuous braking power, and an AC electric motor reduces maintenance. High voltage IGBT circuits for maximum efficiency of the AC drive system, and a brushless double-bearing alternator that offers a long lifespan and reduced maintenance, without the need for timing. Variable hydraulic fan, which ensures optimized cooling, even at idle, for increased component performance and lifespan.
Durability
Designed to use less fuel, which reduces engine emissions and carbon footprint. Engine compliant with the American EPA Tier 4 Final / European Stage V standard (optional) which reduces NOx emissions by 62% and particulate matter by 93% compared to Tier 1 emission levels. Waste reduction through centrifugal oil filter (COF), improved engine oil filtration module (EEOF), standard self-cleaning engine filter, extended oil change intervals, and reduced oil consumption. Engines compatible with diesel fuel blended with low carbon intensity fuels such as biofuels and renewable fuels, as well as power options such as trolley. Cat Rebuild and Cat Reman programs, which preserve raw materials, save energy, and reduce emissions.
Technological solutions
Equipped as standard with the Product Link™ Elite monitoring system, which provides information on the status and payload to maintain high performance and enable proactive maintenance planning. Factory pre-equipped for a Cat MineStar™ Command system for fully integrated transport, an autonomous transport solution proven to increase productivity by up to 30%. Optional MineStar Fleet system, a fleet monitoring system, to measure, manage, and optimize all transport operations. Optional MineStar Detect proximity detection system, which uses cameras to give the driver a better view of what is happening around their equipment. The optional Cat Driver Safety System (DSS) alerts the driver if signs of fatigue or distraction are detected.
