Caterpillar offers incomplete machines and systems, in collaboration with Cat dealers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), to provide specialized machines for specific applications. Bare chassis can be ordered with or without lifting cylinders, and most product options are the same as those for dump truck models. In general, these models benefit from superior ROPS (Rollover Protective Structure) tractor certification required for specialized machines such as tank trucks, tractor trailers, and fuel and lubrication tankers. These incomplete machine configurations are used in construction, demolition, waste processing, handling, and mining industries, allowing you to purchase complete solutions from your Cat dealer and use Cat equipment at every stage. The Cat Water Delivery System (WDS) is available as an option with bare chassis models for Off-Highway Truck and 785D, and includes factory-installed cabin controls, an engine and hydraulic pump, a water pump, and stainless steel spray heads. Whether your goal is dust suppression or track maintenance, the Cat WDS (Water Delivery & Control System) is designed to spray the ground with water in a controlled and intelligent manner. The easy-to-use automated system allows you to focus on major safety issues such as traffic, personnel, and road conditions.
