The C7.1 CAT® Engine offers high power density with a combination of proven electronic, fuel, and air circuits. Engine compliant with Tier 3 equivalent emissions standards from the EPA for the United States. Careful selection and rigorous component design, as well as machine validation processes, result in excellent reliability and availability.

The proven Z Cat linkage geometry, combined with Performance type buckets, offers excellent penetration into the pile and high breakout forces. Combined with a high dump height, this results in low fuel consumption and exceptional production capabilities. The Cat-designed electronic control powershift transmission with intermediate shaft features protection for gear shifts. It is also equipped with a shared flow oil circuit for increased efficiency and lifespan, as well as smoother gear changes. The optional Fusion quick coupler control has a selectable disengagement feature to adapt to bucket and fork applications.

The Engine Idle Management System (EIMS) and Engine Idle Shutdown (EIS) optimize energy efficiency by reducing the engine speed after a defined idle time. The electronically controlled, hydraulically driven variable speed fan adapts to meet the machine's cooling needs. This results in a lower average fan speed, reducing fuel consumption, noise levels, and radiator clogging. The load sensing hydraulic circuit provides the necessary flow and pressure to the equipment, on demand and only with the required amount to perform the work. This advanced circuit offers low fuel consumption.

The spacious cabin incorporates intuitive and simple controls and offers excellent visibility. It provides a comfortable working environment to efficiently carry out your daily tasks. The use of controlled hydraulic equipment commands is comfortable and requires little effort. Two single-axis levers or a joystick are available. Both versions are equipped with downshift switches. The adjustable steering column includes the F-N-R (Front-Neutral-Rear) selector and the turn signal control lever. Unmatched field of vision thanks to a wide front windshield without distortion. The window extends to the cabin floor, providing excellent visibility of the bucket and front tires. The cabin roof includes gutters that direct rainwater to the corners of the cabin to clear the windows. Standard air conditioning system. Ten air vents allow the driver to direct the airflow to remain productive and efficient throughout their workday.

Standard ladders are available on both sides of the machine to easily access the platforms. These platforms are equipped with protections and handrails to secure access to the cabin. The main door of the cabin opens at the front and provides easy access to the driver's seat. The front and rear windshield wipers ensure a clear view. Exterior mirrors with integrated blind spot mirrors are standard. A rear camera is installed as standard to closely monitor movements at the back of the machine. Hinged wheel covers for easy installation/removal. Windshield and drivetrain shielding are optional.

This optional kit is easier to install than other third-party payload weighing systems*. Payload weighing on the fly** for precise target loads, with proven efficiency, offering installation flexibility and ease of calibration and configuration. This system allows for weighing the payload from the cabin so that drivers can work more efficiently and consistently achieve precise loads. It improves productivity by allowing for weighing loads during lifting, without interrupting the loading cycle. High efficiency: loading in accordance with specifications, faster loading of dump trucks, and moving a greater quantity of materials for increased profits.
