Security
Standard and optional features designed to enhance visibility during truck loading operations, including a foldable window shade and optional heated mirrors, as well as lighting packages that provide excellent visibility of the work area. Optional Cat MineStar™ Detect system, which includes the Cat Vision system plus an object detection system that combines radar and camera systems to alert operators to the presence of light vehicles or stationary hazards in close proximity to their machines. Improved access and egress, with an integrated motorized access system, wide 45-degree angle stairs, an emergency exit ladder, and full handrails on each side. Pressurized cabin equipped with a new generation seat with a 9-inch stroke, active cooling and heating, adjustable lumbar support, tilt adjustment, as well as adjustable pneumatic reinforcements on the seat and backrest. Confident and autonomous driver
Integrated control system for steering and transmission (STIC™), which combines steering selection, speed selection, and steering into a single lever - for maximum responsiveness and control. Low-effort integrated controls that make cycles smoother and faster while reducing operator fatigue. Electrohydraulic controls with soft touch, easy to use, and electronically controlled hydraulic cylinder stops that improve comfort. Hydraulic steering system with load sensing, which helps operators achieve precise positioning to facilitate loading in narrow areas, with 43 degrees of steering articulation.
The productivity
Torque converter with wheel clutch (ICTC) and incidence control system (RCS), which improve traction and reduce tire slippage and wear, and improve energy efficiency in certain applications. The Cat planetary Powershift transmission, specifically designed for mining applications, offers smooth and seamless gear changes and high efficiency thanks to integrated electronic controls, with three forward speeds and three reverse speeds to adapt to the application. The positive flow control hydraulic system, which improves efficiency, allows for fast and productive cycles, increases bucket feel and control, and provides consistent performance and efficiency with a cooler system. Cat C32B engine that offers on-demand performance through the use of turbochargers and secondary coolers, with a 33% increase in torque that ensures high tractive forces during digging and acceleration in high impulse conditions.
Energy efficiency
Automatic reduction of idle speed with automatic recovery, which reduces the engine speed to idle when the machine has been locked at a higher engine speed and has remained idle for an extended period; the engine speed automatically resumes to the previous lock speed when the operator starts working. Idle engine shutdown, which automatically shuts down the engine after extended periods of idling. Powertrain torque strategy (PTS), a machine control function that controls the engine speed to provide optimal output torque from the torque converter and reduce engine fuel consumption.
Ease of maintenance
Advanced filtration system that enhances the reliability of the hydraulic system. Safe and convenient maintenance thanks to ground or platform level access, grouped maintenance points, swinging doors on both sides of the engine compartment, eco-friendly drains, and Cat plain bearing cartridge axes, which eliminate the need for daily greasing and routine maintenance. Standard Deluxe maintenance center, which provides easy access to the Cat electronic technician (ET) as well as liquid level indicators for hydraulic oil, steering oil, windshield washer fluid, fuel, engine oil, engine coolant, and grease level for automatic lubrication (if equipped).
Scoops and ground attack tools
Various bucket options, including heavy-duty rock buckets for applications such as surface loading of highly compacted pit materials or handling materials with moderate abrasion and high impact; high-abrasion rock buckets for aggressive applications such as surface loading of iron ore; and coal buckets for non-abrasive, low-density materials. Cat Ground Engaging Tools (GET), which protect expensive components and help you get the most out of your machine's performance and reduce operating costs. Cat GET features CapSure™ retention technology, which simplifies component replacement with hammerless retention for quick, easy, and safe installation. Available with a variety of high-performing Advansys GET, including CapSure side protector, side and bottom MAWPs, base edge end protector, edge protection options including CapSure shrouds and half-arrow segment, and four CapSure tip options: heavy-duty, high-abrasion, high-penetration, and coal.
