The CAT 995 wheel loader® meets your demand for increased productivity by offering more, while using less. It provides you with more payload, more power, and more performance while consuming less fuel. So you can do more in less time and with less fuel. Introduced in 1990, the 994 was the number one choice in its category for over 25 years. The 995 builds on the success of the 994K model with the goal of achieving even higher efficiency and production. Compared to the 994K, the new 995 is up to 19% more efficient and up to 19% more productive, thanks to a higher nominal payload, an increase in hydraulic force, and a reduction of up to 13% in hourly fuel consumption in advanced Eco mode. It also offers an optimized operator station, with improved visibility and 50% more legroom, as well as features that instill confidence in the driver while reducing fatigue.

Security

Designed for visibility, with a higher windshield that offers a 25% increase in glass surface for a better view of the bucket, a standard rearview camera, optional 270-degree Detect cameras, LED lighting, and six mirrors. Improved access and egress, with an integrated motorized access system that can be raised and lowered from the cabin or ground, wide 45-degree angle stairs, an emergency exit ladder, and handrails on each side. The wide walkways feature non-slip surfaces, a platform for windshield cleaning, and locking/tagging points integrated into maintenance areas.

Driver's comfort

More legroom and wider knee space for the driver compared to the 994K. Reduced vibrations, low noise levels, and automatic temperature controls. Electrohydraulic speed sensing steering with force feedback for all-day comfort during work. Pressurized cabin equipped with a new generation seat with 9-inch travel, active cooling and heating, adjustable lumbar support, tilt adjustment, and adjustable pneumatic reinforcements on the seat and backrest.

Confident and autonomous driver

Built-in commands with low effort that make cycles smoother and faster while reducing fatigue. Large color LED screens, easy to consult, which provide access to the electronic user and maintenance guide. Driver coaching, which enables the driver to exceed goals by measuring and providing feedback to reinforce appropriate operating techniques. New Autodig components that increase efficiency and reduce tire wear by automating critical parts of the excavation cycle. Prevention of payload overload, which prevents significant payloads from fully filling the dump truck.

The productivity

Increased nominal payload and a 6% increase in hydraulic force compared to the 994K. The Impeller Clutch Torque Converter (ICTC) and Rimpull Control System (RCS) reduce wheel slippage potential without reducing hydraulic efficiency. Superior loading with Performance Cat buckets, designed for quick excavation in piles and efficient loading, with fill factors of up to 115%. 3516E engine, offering optimal performance with a 16-cylinder four-stroke design, as well as turbochargers and intake coolers that provide on-demand performance. Excellent stability thanks to optimized weight distribution, allowing the driver to be more confident and productive.

Efficiency optimization features

Prevention of tire slippage, which reduces the effort on the rim when the pressure on the tire is low and increases it when the pressure on the tire is higher, thus providing maximum effort on the rim when it can be used. Automatic tire definition, which automatically applies a lifting command at the optimal moment to increase traction on the tire, allowing for an increase in usable effort on the rim. Prevention of lifting stalling, which automatically applies the rotor clutch when necessary to prevent hydraulic stalling during front lifting, maintaining continuous lifting motion without excessive use of the rotor clutch. Positive flow control hydraulic circuit, which improves efficiency through dual pump and valve control, and increases sensitivity and control of the bucket to provide consistent performance. On-demand acceleration functionality, which allows the driver to maintain normal operation through the left pedal and equipment, while the 995 manages the engine speed.

Scoops and soil attack tool

Approved for higher payloads in applications with low to moderate excavation resistance, increased payload for reprocessed materials in the mine operation area or for materials in piles, such as coal. Various bucket options, including rock buckets for loading limestone or other untreated rocks; extra-robust rock buckets for loading heavily compacted bulk materials or handling materials with moderate abrasion and high impact; coal buckets for non-abrasive, low-density materials; and iron ore buckets for extremely aggressive applications. Performance series buckets that feature an extended bottom, double radius, and inclined side bars for quick loading; a larger boxed lower section for increased strength, high filling rates, and good material retention; and a higher side plate with a flat top surface that improves the driver's visibility of the bucket from the cabin. Cat Ground Engaging Tools (GET) with CapSure™ retention technology, which simplifies component replacement with hammerless retention for quick, easy, and safe installation.

Long lifespan

Very durable structures with a fully enclosed rear frame that resists both torsion forces and shocks, in order to optimize the lifespan of the installed components. Frames that use castings in key areas to optimize the lifespan of the frame and improve efficiency. Rear axle mounting on the frame, which is optimized to better distribute loads and ensure better structural integrity. Loads are efficiently transmitted by field-proven solid steel lifting arms, with increased strength in key areas thanks to the use of monobloc molded parts. Frames, powertrain, engine, and components that are designed for refurbishment, using new, remanufactured, or refurbished parts and components, to benefit from a machine with multiple lives, offering performance equal to new at a fraction of the new price.
