Easy to use, Easy to understand

The innovative steering technology with a steering wheel ensures precise control and excellent forward visibility. Easily activate the vibration system, water spraying circuit, and cylinder offset using the multifunction translation lever. The machine functions with LED indicators have been independently grouped to allow for simplified control and quick activation. Access from both sides on ROPS/roof frame machines provides drivers with flexibility to board or disembark from the machine (United States and Canada only).
Largest Fuel Economy

Save up to 10% on fuel with the Cat C4.4 engine and the standard Eco mode. The C4.4 engine delivers a power of 106 kW (142 hp) and complies with regional requirements for emission standards. The unique design of the Eco mode adjusts the engine speed according to the load requirements; the high amplitude vibration system uses a higher engine speed while static rolling saves fuel and operates at a lower engine speed with even lower noise levels.
Ease of Vibration System Configuration

The five-amplitude system uses a single frequency with five distinct amplitudes to provide excellent performance in thick-layered and hard material applications. The Versa Vibe™ vibration system creates a 2-in-1 machine with four amplitudes and two frequencies; two settings that allow for less powerful strikes and higher working speeds in thin-layered applications, and two other settings that allow for more powerful strikes and reduced working speeds in difficult thick-layered and hard material applications. The two-amplitude/two-frequency vibration system automatically optimizes the amplitude and frequency through a single switch, making work easier in thin/thick layers. Achieve your compaction goals with automatic speed control; green indicators allow for adjusting the travel speed to the appropriate impact interval.
The Compression Options Include Oscillation

The oscillatory vibration system on the rear cylinder combined with the standard vertical vibrations on the front cylinder ensures both efficiency and versatility. The oscillation system uses the proven sealed imbalance technology developed by Caterpillar. The 2-year/2,000-hour maintenance interval optimizes productive time and limits maintenance costs. The robust transmission belt offers a load capacity twice that of timing belt systems, for a longer lifespan. The standard cylinder covers provide exceptional long-term durability on various types of materials and ensure exceptional texture, density, and regularity of the coating.
Get a Uniform Coating Thanks to Compaction Control

The pass counter and temperature mapping combine infrared temperature sensors and GPS mapping to keep the driver informed of the current temperature of the asphalt, the position of the machine, the pass counter, and the applied layer. The compaction measurement (CMV, Compaction Meter Value) uses an accelerometer mounted on the cylinder to measure the combined stiffness of the asphalt layer, base surface, and sub-base to indicate the quality of the road structure below the surface. Machine-to-machine communication allows for the synchronization of rolling patterns by sharing map data such as CMV, temperature mapping, and pass counter coverage between multiple machines.
Boost Performance with Better Visibility

Optimize the field of vision with the optional 360º swivel seat; always stay facing the direction of travel. LED lights provide excellent illumination on the construction site while saving energy. The night lighting option provides additional lighting on the ROPS frame/cabin, cylinder edges, and surfaces.
