Security

Massive movement of equipment with a reduced number of people, which allows for fewer people to be placed in potentially dangerous situations. Machines that undergo risk assessment and are designed to meet strict codes and regulations. Stairs, walkways, platforms, and access points have been incorporated everywhere to ensure safe and convenient access for maintenance personnel. Two access/exit doors and a coach seat placed optimally with an independent emergency stop. Safety devices incorporated in the operator's cabin, structures, surfaces, and electrical equipment. Enhanced safety electrical system, with only one cabinet separating power electronics from centralized control electronics that limits personnel access to power electronics during troubleshooting; the separation of control electronics provides shielding against electrical noise that would eliminate high-frequency coupling.
Configured for each site
Application engineers who work in collaboration with mines, taking into account factors such as the digging environment, mine lifespan, mine plan, and annual production goals, in order to determine the most suitable configuration for each client's mining site. Engineers who analyze mining environments and apply the results to recommendations for new draglines as well as upgrade recommendations for existing dragline fleets.
Driver's cabin

Ultramodern driving cabin, the result of several years of collaboration between Caterpillar, mining companies, and operators. Offers top-notch visibility thanks to an excellent line of sight complemented by optimally mounted cameras and display screens. Available with an adjustable ergonomic seat, low-effort controls, and two display screens optimized for operator comfort.
Training
Caterpillar product trainers have years of experience in hands-on and classroom training, providing the necessary skills to implement changes in all aspects of operation, machine management, and maintenance. Cutting-edge technologies are used to enhance knowledge retention, increase training efficiency, and create a safer learning environment through machine simulation.
Reliability and long lifespan

Major structures designed for extended performance in difficult mining conditions, made from shock-resistant and high-strength steel, with selected full penetration type welds, profiled and ground. Large furnaces used to stress relieve entire welded parts to reduce susceptibility to cracking. Equipped with AC IGBT electrical systems, which offer superior availability - typically exceeding 95% - thanks to a reduced number of components, interchangeable inverters, the absence of fuses or circuit breakers, the elimination of regular maintenance of power control modules, and reduced motor maintenance. Mining-grade IGBT system with robust welded cabinets to withstand difficult mining conditions.
Ground engagement tools and metal cable

X-3 Lip System which includes lateral and vertical couplers that work with a complete selection of tip styles and lip protectors. The attachment is integrated into the tip for simplified use; it can be locked or unlocked with a single turn to speed up the change; the hammerless system does not require special tools and enhances safety. Cat lips with 100% CapSure retention and machined adjustment surface for optimized fit. Multiple tip options, including the Heavy Duty Below Centerline tip, which is designed for extreme abrasion on the upper part and the most common high-impact environments in dragline bucket applications. Cat quality wire rope, manufactured using a thermal injection process that allows complete plastic penetration into the cable to resist the adverse effects of abrasion and shock damage, encapsulating the strands to reduce steel-to-steel contact and seal lubricants that extend the cable's lifespan. Cat dragline wire rope is available in 6 and 8 strands, with or without plastic impregnation; lengths and fittings are made according to specific needs.
