Overview
Powerful Performance in a Compact Format
The CAT® R1300G model is our smallest underground loader, but with a breakout force of 12,020 kg (26,504 lb) and an engine power of 117 kW (157 hp), it offers smaller mines maximum production capacity. With a smaller turning radius than competing machines, productivity is improved. To operate for longer periods between refills, it has a larger fuel tank, and for optimal loading and faster unloading, the bucket dumping and reach have been improved.
To provide optimal comfort for operators, making it their preferred machine, the R1300G combines excellent weight distribution under load, anti-stall control, and a suspension seat. And to further improve air quality in your mine, you can equip your R1300G with an optional diesel particulate filter. The R1300G is perfectly suited for the Cat AD22 truck.
AdvantagesProduction Advantages Compared to Competitors
Thanks to a smaller turning radius, a larger fuel tank, and improved bucket reach and dumping angle
Preferred by Operators
This machine combines excellent weight distribution under load, anti-stall control, and a suspension seat to set the standard for operator comfort.
Improved Air Quality

Security
Large glass openings for better visibility. Large handles located on both sides provide 3-point access to the cabin and the machine. The integrated Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS) and Falling Object Protective Structure (FOPS) are resiliently mounted on the chassis. The maneuver braking system operated by modulated hydraulic pressure and the spring-loaded and liquid-released parking brake ensure braking in case of hydraulic failure. Safer maintenance thanks to the hot and cold sides of the engine, articulated belly guards, support pins for handling arms, ground-level level gauges, oil bayonet gauge away from any articulation, and the secondary engine shutdown switch at ground level.
Mastering and Driving Comfort
Closed design that provides a circulation of fresh, pressurized and temperature-regulated air with air conditioning. Soundproofed cabin (optional) for a quiet and safe working environment. Controls, levers, switches, and gauges are positioned to maximize productivity and minimize fatigue. In addition, the STIC™ system allows the machine to be operated with a single controller. The oil-cooled four-wheel braking system ensures excellent vehicle control. The oscillating rear axle ensures contact of all four wheels with the ground for maximum traction and stability at all times, while the non-rotating rear differential reduces tire wear and maximizes traction on uneven terrain.
Performance and Productivity
An electronically controlled Powershift transmission that provides smooth and responsive shifting performance. High hydraulic flow rates allow for quick response of the hydraulic circuit and cylinders, and provide considerable lifting forces. Additionally, the large-bore tilt and lift cylinders offer exceptional strength, performance, and durability. Increased reach and improved bucket dumping allow for optimized loading and faster dumping. The proven Z-bar linkage geometry of the loader generates exceptional breakout force and increased rollback angle, for better material retention and more efficient loading. The optional anti-stall system reduces forward and backward tilt of the lift arm and bucket, giving operators the confidence to move at speeds exceeding 5 km/h (3 mph) during loading and transport operations, for faster cycle times.
Power and Efficiency
A powerful and efficient 3306B Cat engine, which provides optimal performance in the most demanding mining applications, tolerates contamination and is compatible with high-sulfur fuels, for use anywhere in the world. The full integration of the engine and transmission circuits ensures excellent energy efficiency and flexibility of use. Unmatched traction force during excavation, movement, and crossing of steep slopes, as well as increased torque that effectively matches the transmission's gear shift points for maximum efficiency and fast cycle times. Superior drivetrain efficiency thanks to a high-capacity torque converter that delivers more power to the wheels. An optional factory-installed remote control system.
Soil Scoops and Attack Tool
Buckets designed for optimal load capacity and structural reliability, with four sizes of tilt buckets and an ejector bucket option, all designed and manufactured to match their performance capabilities. Ground Engaging Tools (GET) welded, bolted or hammerless installation, designed to meet specific site needs and match the site's maintenance strategy. Cat modular segment GET system, which ensures the reliability of welded parts with the simplicity of replacing a mechanical system. Bolt-on Half Arrow GET (BOHA) for bucket edges offer more wear material than standard welded GET and feature a bolted design that allows for quick and easy removal and replacement. The Cat Bucket Pro application provides real-time data on GET performance to help you plan maintenance, manage inventory, and know the cost per US tonne.
Easy Maintenance
Thanks to more robust structures, modular and more durable components, common parts, more accessible maintenance areas, and longer maintenance intervals, maintenance is reduced. Access to maintenance is facilitated by the modular radiator with a swivel grille and ground-level access to all tanks, filters, lubrication points, and compartment drains. Features that reduce downtime, such as easy-to-change radial seal air filters, integrated liquid level indicators, waterproof electrical connectors, covered harnesses, no cables in the outer articulation area, and color-coded and numbered wires. The ET electronic device, which allows for quick electronic diagnostics of machine performance and provides essential diagnostic data for efficient maintenance and repairs. Proven high-pressure hydraulic hoses XT Cat, which demonstrate exceptional strength and flexibility for maximum circuit reliability and long life in the most challenging conditions.
Durability
Continuous research and development on engine compatibility with diesel fuel blended with lower carbon intensity fuels, including biofuels and renewable fuels, as well as power options such as electrification. An optional diesel particulate filter (DPF) that offers over 50% reduction in diesel particles in the exhaust. Cat Rebuild and Cat Reman programs that preserve raw materials, save energy, and reduce emissions. Adaptations and upgrades that improve older machines by integrating efficiency improvements and emission reductions, allowing them to remain in service for longer to save energy, decrease emissions, and reduce raw material needs.
